July is Family Golf Month on the Play Golf America Calendar

Go to any course this season, and you'll soon realize that playing golf, even in your own hometown, may be the perfect family getaway. It is hard to imagine a better family activity than golf. Take your family golfing and enjoy a day together outside while getting exercise at the same time.

During Family Golf Month, golf courses will offer a series of programs for you to learn and play golf as a family. Golf courses in your area may offer:

Play Golf Minnesota Week

The Minnesota Section PGA and the Minnesota Golf Association proudly brought you the second annual Play Golf Minnesota Week April 28-May 4, 2008.

The seven day event was filled with opportunities to start your spring golfing and spend time outdoors on some of Minnesota´s beautiful courses.

The Governor of Minnesota, Tim Pawlenty, proclaimed the week as "Minnesota Golf Opener Week," and FOX 9 News personality M.A. Rosko discussed the proclamation after an interview with Jocko Olson, PGA Professional at Interlachen Country Club.
